I feel for Josh Randall, the actor who plays Dr. Mike Burton on "Ed," the popular NBC series. He's been picked up for smoking crack in a New York City park. His story is that he was lost, asked a homeless guy for directions and the homeless guy asked for money. As soon as he handed the guy $20, the cops jumped out and grabbed him. Sounds like an overzealous sting to me. They wouldn't even give poor Dr. Mike a drug test or a polygraph. Ah, but here's the part that draws the most pity from me, and is perhaps damning evidence to boot: Series producerRob Burnett came forward to say that if we knew Josh the way he does, we'd know "this is a terrible misunderstanding." Hmmm... TV producer vouching for you in drug case? Kind of like having OJ vouch for you in a domestic abuse matter... © 2002-2008 Rob Falk, All Rights Reserved. All Wrongs Denied.
