  Hey! Bishop Michael Sheridan - You wanna be famous? Here's my contribution to your 15 minutes, you idiot! The Salt Lake Tribune -- Pro-choice voters banned from Communion : "Catholics who vote for politicians who support abortion rights or gay marriage will be banned from Communion until they have 'recanted their positions' and confessed their sin, a Colorado bishop warned." Regardless of one's own convictions with regard to political and sociological issues, don't you think this kind of public talk, and this kind of veiled hatred, and guilt inducing behavior is inappropriate from a religious organization? When a church starts trying to coerce political and social change by public speech and sanctions such as this, is it not acting more like an unregulated Political Action Committee and less like a House of God? Is it perhaps time to tax contributions to the Catholic PAC, and to tax the land on which their "offices" now stand? Bishop Sheridan - here's your 15 minutes of fame or infamy.
