Ipod & iTunes: So Easy To Use Even George W. Bush can... oh, he can't?

The New York Times, April 11, 2005 (Washington, DC)
...Mr. Bush has had his Apple iPod since July, when he received it from his twin daughters as a birthday gift. He has some 250 songs on it, a paltry number compared to the 10,000 selections it can hold. Mr. Bush, as leader of the free world, does not take the time to download the music himself; that task falls to his personal aide, Blake Gottesman, who buys individual songs and albums, including Mr. [George] Jones's and Mr. [Alan] Jackson's greatest hits, from the iTunes music store.

I'm glad to see that the taxpayers' money is put to good use. Ol' W. can't download in his free time - or during lunch - like the rest of us. We need to pay someone to do that for him. Or is it more likely that Georgie can't download?

Then again, maybe Mr. Gottesman is using Gnutella like the rest of the universe, and pocketing the cash?

Nah - but keeping a straw man between our prez and the internets is probably a good thing, for two reason's: I don't like the idea of Bush even getting used to pushing buttons, and I guess it gives him some plausible deniability in case Mitch Bainwol and the RIAA start lobbing subpoenas at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!
