Rod Stewart "got his voice back?"

Rod Stewart has gone to trial, regarding his non-return of a 2 Million dollar deposit for a concert that was scheduled, but then cancelled by him. Instead of returning the deposit (as he should have, immediately) he wants to, years later, reschedule the show, claiming that he now has his voice back.

Stewart's lawyer told reporters the singer has been willing to reschedule and has offered to perform two shows for the price of one. "He is able and willing to do these concerts for them," said lawyer Louis Miller, adding the 60-year-old singer has performed over 200 concerts since the May 2000 surgery that removed two tumors from his thyroid. One was malignant, Miller said. "It took him about 10 to 12 months to get his voice back," Miller said.

10 to 12 months? Hell, I've been enduring Rod Stewart since Maggie May. That song, passable as it was, certainly gave no indication that he had a voice, and it was released some 35 or so years ago. Since then, it was all downhill: I did not Think [he was] Sexy and whatever Night he was croaking about was definitely not The Night. Since then, I couldn't even name a tune he's bleated.

Got his voice back? Next you'll be telling me Phyllis Diller got her looks back!
